Halestorm drummer Arejay Hale recently got engaged -- to Jessie Covets, the singer and guitarist of the all-female L.A. quartet Violet. The future bride and groom have been writing together for Halestorm's upcoming third album, which the band expects to start recording in a few months. They've also been trying to pick a date for the wedding, though with their busy schedules, Arejay says it hasn't been easy. “We’re hoping in October. Finally engaged, that’s a first for me, too, so I’m excited about that. We’re going to try to squeeze that in through, like, us making a record, she’s making a record. And then also we got tours coming up, so we’re gonna try to squeeze in putting a wedding together in October, hopefully. So wish me luck.”

Arejay's sister Lzzy, Halestorm's frontwoman, gave her reaction to her younger brother being engaged. “Little bro. It’s very new to me, so I’m having trouble. I think I’m in shock. I’m his protective big sister, so I’m really happy for him and I love his fiancé. I don’t think there’s anybody else in the world that can handle him the way she and I can, so I think they’re gonna be fine.”
