According to DailyMail, Shia Lebeouf's father is a convicted pedophile who's been running away from police for years.
Last week, Shia married his longtime girlfriend, Mia Goth, in an Elvis Presley-themed ceremony in Las Vegas. But, many wondered why the actor's dad wasn't there to support his son during the big day. Well, it's because he feared he would get arrested, if he showed up to Shia's wedding.
"Jeffrey has been on the run from law enforcement for three years, fleeing the state, as well as hiding out in a remote mountain community after violating his registration requirements as a convicted sex offender," the site reports.
But, it gets even more shocking. Apparently, Shia's dad is now an art teacher in Costa Rica. Surprisingly, the father's criminal records have even been completely deleted. When the Californian Attorney General's office commented on these records, it said it "confirmed they have no record of Jeffrey's new location and are unaware of any specific reason why he would be removed from the register."
When speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, Shia said he was happy his wedding was filmed because his or his bride's fathers couldn't attend. "Dads couldn't be there," he said. "So it was nice to have them there in a way."
