Lady Antebellum Releases New Song 'You Look Good' (LISTEN)

Lady Antebellum fans rejoice ... because the trio is finally back with brand new music! The group has been a little mysterious on social media lately, and had teased that something was coming. That something is a new single called "You Look Good," and it's the first single from their forthcoming sixth studio album HEART BREAK via Capitol Nashville, which will be released on June 9th.

"You Look Good" is a little different than what fans have heard from Lady A in the past, especially with the use of horns in the chorus. The group sings lyrics like "Baby, you look good all day, all night/You look good, so fresh, so fine/You look good, got everybody watchin' you/Like cameras in Hollywood."

"You Look Good" is the first piece of new music from Lady Antebellum since the band released their 2014 album 747, which hit No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts. The band explains that their new single is "a great way to kind of give our fans, who haven't heard [new] music from [them] in over a year, a chance to, to see what we've been up to." They add, "This song is the perfect soundtrack to what we've been up to." In fact the band performed the song live for the first time during a showcase at Nashville's The Stage.

On the meaning behind the lyrics for "You Look Good"

"It's not just about a girl, or it's not just about a guy. It's about this fun relationship, and when you feel like you and your girl, or you and your spouse both are just in love and feel like nobody could touch you. I think that's what this song makes me feel, like when you go out and it's like, 'Girl, you look good.' And she's like, 'Yeah, you look good too, man. We're having fun. We still got it.'"

After taking some time to pursue solo projects last year, the band (comprised of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood) explains that they've been working on their new album, and spent six months living together in Florida and Los Angeles while writing the record. They tell us, "It's really representative of what the past six months of recording this record has felt like. The three of us lived in a house together in Florida and in LA to record and write. And so there's just this fun energy that we found. We ate together, we ... I mean, everything. It was just so much fun. "

Working with producer Mike Busbee (who has worked with Rascal Flatts, Maren Morris, and Keith Urban among others), Lady A says that the new album has some "different unique sounds" and that "each song's a moment; they're their own moment." They add that they are feeling re-energized, and "it really has felt like the early days of Lady A again, the excitement we had, and the innocence we had to get out there and fight for people to hear this new music."

Lady Antebellum will be hitting the road on their "YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR," with over 65 shows planned in six countries, along with special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young. The group will also be performing at this year's iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, Texas at the Frank Erwin Center on May 6th.
