THE POWER OF GOOD PEOPLE: Why are we doing this? After Hurricane Harvey, three ladies wanted to help. Stephanie M Peterson said, let's clear trees in Ingleside and we gathered a group and did just that for those who needed it. Over 100 people answered the call. But more help was needed, so we did it again. We had over 200 people wanting to help. However, help is still needed, especially in Rockport where the schools were damaged and the annual fundraiser was cancelled because of the hurricane. So we decided to help on an even bigger level, by raising money this time. We simply asked, and two law firms answered us donating money to fund the merchandise. Then we worked with Impact Marketing to create t-shirts, hats and tumblers. Then Concrete Street let us join their venue with some amazing Texas country music stars to sell this merchandise, and people began donating items for our raffle. Every single thing you see or hear about was donated. There is no overhead, there are no profits. All of the money goes directly to the Aransas County ISD fund. This is grassroots. This is Texas, and if you needed a cause to rally around, if you needed to remember people are good...come let me tell you what good people have done. Buy a shirt, send your money to those who need it at the Rockport School District and spread goodness. We help our neighbors in Texas.
